Opera roles at the Royal Academy include: Slook La Cambiale di Matrimonio, Theseus Midsummer Nights Dream, Antonio, Il Conte (cover) Le Nozze di Figaro, Nick Shadow (cover) The Rakes Progress. Other roles include Sir John Falstaff, Vaughan-Williams Sir John in Love (British Youth Opera- Holland Park), Gianni Schicchi and Aeneas, Dido and Aeneas, (Edinburgh Studio Opera). He regularly features at St Endellion festival, with roles in Death in Venice, The Damnation of Faust and Billy Budd, and was a 2022 Young Artist with Grange Festival Chorus, covering roles and performing in Verdi’s Macbeth and The Yeoman of the Guard.

On the concert platform, Johannes has sung across the UK performing Oratorio and Song. At RAM he has has been involved in the Bach cantata series, conducted by Sir John Butt, Masaaki Suzuki, Iain Ledingham and Phillippe Herreweghe, including B Minor Mass, and Christus in St John Passion. As a song singer, he has won multiple competitions, and performed at Ludlow Song Weekend. He is a member of Royal Academy’s Song Circle, performing at Leeds International Song festival and the Wigmore Hall in 2024.
